My attempts at blogging on a regular basis are failing. Even now I am just sitting down for a moment to post.
After 3 years I decided to pack it in at my job as I was going nowhere. I gave my notice and started a new job working in the health care field. It is Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:00.
I am also taking night school classes from 6:00 - 8:00.
I am trying to work in a meal or two, laundry, dishes, housework and spending time with the kids.
No time right now for John (not his real name), exercise or anything fun.
That is all.

Your life sounds like it is definitely in flux, in a good way. I bet things will settle down soon and you'll have more time for the things you are missing now.

Congrats on the new job!

A new job! Hooray for you! It's always better to do new things for yourself. We have to take the first step if we want our lives to change for the better. I'm still working on taking that first step. I'm so proud of you!

Wow, you've got a lot on your plate. You're gone from 8:30 am until after 8:00 pm? You must just want to flop down on the couch every evening with a hot cup of tea.

My husband loves to tell me, "When you've got a lot of change going on or feeling overwhelmed, just focus on the Basics." Family, Health and work. It sounds as though you're doing just that. Congrats on the new job!

Ouch. That sucks. I hope you can find time to enjoy a bit of "you" time in there. It is highly important as I well know. Keep your chin up and a smile around and things will go your way. Hug your kids and stop to listen to the sounds of silence once in a while too. Big hugs.

Be careful, and take time to smell the roses! I was like that in my 40's, then I burned out and got all the old lady diseases that go along with stress.

I hope you're enjoying your new job. Good for you, making the jump.

I know busy-ness can be overwhelming. My rule of thumb is to make sure I hug my kids every day. It gives me the energy to cut through all the other stuff.

Best wishes!
